A single horizontal stroke of deep teal-blue runs across the lower half of the page, with a band of dusty rose cloud above and raw white paper around everything. Almost nothing is rendered — the whole composition is three colors on an empty field. The paper is flecked with small dark spots, age marks from the sketchbook's 180-year life.
