The Last Rays

This conversation is connected to The Last Rays.

The Last Rays shows a thatched stone cottage nestled among sand dunes on the northern French coast, almost certainly near Équihen, where Cazin kept a summer house and painted obsessively. A wide field of golden-brown grass fills the foreground, with low scrubby plants pushing through. The cottage has small dark windows and a heavy thatched roof that extends nearly to the ground. Behind it, a second smaller structure catches the last warm light of the day — an orange-pink glow on its walls. Sand dunes roll behind both buildings under a pale gray-blue sky. The signature is in the lower right corner.
